Additional info

Dandy launched their product in March 2020. Between March 2020 and Jan 2022, they grew the team from 5 to almost 400.

Dandy's vision is to create a world where dentists can return to what they love, unencumbered by the various administrative and backoffice responsibilities - things like scheduling, insurance claim tracking, labwork, accounting, etc. - that are necessary to keep a dental practice afloat. Dandy is kicking this off with their first product that brings unprecedented accuracy and convenience to the ordering process for 3D-printed dental appliances (crowns, bridges, veneers, clear aligners, etc).

The engineering team reached about 20 people at the end of 2021 and is targeting 40-50 by mid 2022 and 70-100 by the end of 2022. It's an excellent time to join.

The team is growing across the board. Dandy is looking for product-oriented engineers for their supply chain and dentist experience teams, infrastructure engineers to support a growing development team and user base, AI/ML and 3D engineers for 3D appliance CAD/CAM design automation, and others.

Dandy values engineers who can make independent decisions, handle high uncertainty and change, and learn and level up on their own.

The team lives speed and this was reflected by everyone I talked with about Dandy - "Dandy speed".

Engineers interested in significant scope from day one and extreme career growth and learning will fit in well.

If you join a company, my general advice is to join a company on a breakout trajectory.
