Additional info

Most consumer banking experiences aren't so great. The same is true for SMB banking. Nearside provides a significantly better product and experience for business bank account holders.

The CEO Thomson has done this before - his previous startup was acquired by Square, providing him the ability to swing for the fences.

Banks are highly profitable, making as much as 1-3% on debit card transactions.

Nearside has made some big hires from companies like Stripe. Particularly well suited to engineers that are interested in fintech. This isn't the company for you if you want to do theoretical ML research, it's much more about action and building. Also well suited to engineers that want to come in and apply the best practices they've gathered to a fresh problem.

Customer acquisition is likely to continue to ramp quickly, so if you're interested I'd suggest applying.

If you join a company, my general advice is to join a company on a breakout trajectory.
